Job summary

MedVet, a leading veterinarian-owned network of specialty and emergency hospitals, is seeking an Operations Technician to manage hospital inventory, including ordering, receiving, rotation and cycle counts to ensure prescriptions, supplies, and equipment are available to the care team.

You will submit orders to centralized purchasing, track backorders, receive shipments, code invoices, perform daily cycle counts, and maintain inventory in the hospital system.

Qualifications

• Inventory experience in a medical environment preferred.
• Works successfully as a team member and autonomously.
• Works efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Motivated to help drive change.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Detail oriented, quality focused, and self-motivated.
• Demonstrates sense of urgency while maintaining composure.
• Able to lift 50 pounds.
• Flexibility with work hours.

Responsibilities

• Creates and submits orders to our centralized purchasing team based on par levels and order frequency.
• Facilitates local purchases as required.
• Works collaboratively with clinical managers and leadership teams to determine weekly orders.
• Tracks backorder products and products with short expiration dating.
• Receives shipments, matches to purchase orders, and records in hospital system.
• Delivers inventory to departments and maintains central supply with proper rotation and cleanliness.
