NorthStar VETS is seeking an Oncology Veterinary Technician to join a fast-paced emergency and specialty team. The role involves assisting oncologists with exams, diagnostics, and treatment plans, safely handling chemotherapy, and supporting patients through treatment with empathy and precision.

Qualifications
- Experience with oncology examinations, diagnostics and treatment planning.
- Comfort with chemotherapy protocols and administration.
- Ability to follow complex medical instructions and safety protocols.
- Excellent communication and teamwork in a fast-paced hospital setting.
- Experience with anesthesia monitoring is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians with oncology exams, diagnostics, and treatment plans.
- Safely prepare, handle, and dispose of chemotherapeutic agents per protocols and safety standards.
- Monitor patients undergoing chemotherapy for adverse reactions and report concerns.
- Provide supportive care including pain management, nutrition, catheter care, and QoL monitoring.
- Accurately calculate drug dosages and infusion rates; maintain EMR records.
