Dogwood Veterinary Specialty and Emergency in Marietta, GA is seeking a Veterinary Technician to support our Medical Oncology team. You will provide nursing care for oncology patients, assist with chemotherapy, and collaborate with multiple specialty teams to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.

The role requires 2+ years of veterinary hospital experience, strong clinical nursing skills, and excellent communication with clients.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of veterinary hospital experience with a strong foundation in clinical nursing and patient care.
• Experience with venipuncture, blood collection, and laboratory diagnostics.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
• Excellent communication and client education skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced specialty environment.

Responsabilités

• Provide compassionate oncology nursing care for patients throughout diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
• Monitor patient comfort, treatment response, and quality of life.
• Support chemotherapy appointments, rechecks, and ongoing treatment plans.
• Administer medications, fluids, and prescribed therapies with accurate medical records.
• Collaborate with Medical Oncology, Internal Medicine, and Emergency teams.
