Qualifications

• DVM/VMD degree and veterinary license to practice in PA.
• Oncology specialty training or board certification is preferred.
• Strong collaboration and communication with a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide oncology consultations and develop individualized treatment plans for companion animals.
• Lead and participate in chemotherapy protocols and palliative care.
• Collaborate with surgeons, radiologists, and medical staff to optimize patient outcomes.

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a full-time Oncologist to join our growing team. We promote a collaborative and supportive culture-truly in this together-supporting each other through shared passion, knowledge, and talents to provide exceptional specialty and emergency care for pets.

We are a close-knit, collegial group with a collaborative work ethic. Our team includes three board-certified Oncologists, and our robust caseload fully supports the addition of a fourth Oncologist. You'll join a well-established service with a strong referral base and an opportunity to immediately step into a thriving, team-oriented environment. Additionally, we have 7 criticalists across our Pittsburgh locations. We also have a house officer program with rotating interns, ECC interns and residents, and surgical interns and residents, creating a robust team approach to patient care.

Formerly known as Pittsburgh Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Center (PVSEC), our hospital is fully equipped as both an emergency animal hospital and a center for advanced specialty care. We utilize sophisticated diagnostic equipment, including:
