Qualifications

• DVM degree (or equivalent) and ACVIM Nutrition board eligibility.
• Diplomate of ACVIM (Nutrition) or completed residency and eligibility to take ACVIM board examination at appointment start.
• Eligibility for faculty licensure to practice veterinary medicine in Alabama.

Responsibilities

• Instruction of professional students and interface with graduate students and house officers (60%).
• Research related to metabolic diseases and intestinal microbiomics (25%).
• Service and committee engagement within the college and veterinary education community (15%).
