Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists (GCVS) is seeking a second veterinary medical oncologist to join our established medical oncology service and support a growing caseload.
We are a progressive, team-oriented practice that values high-quality medicine, communication, and compassionate patient care. We are also in the process of optimizing our practices and procedures with the help of an Oncology VTS to improve our overall care delivery.
Our hospital features advanced technology including a 1.5 T MRI, 64-slice CT, Varian Halcyon radiation therapy system, and an Interventional Radiology Suite. We have specialty practices in Surgery, Neurology, Internal Medicine, Critical Care, Radiology, Diagnostic Imaging, Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation, Radiation Oncology, Ophthalmology, Dermatology and Allergy, Avian and Exotics, Cardiology, and Anesthesiology.
Our 24/7/365 critical care unit includes an emergency clinic, ICU, and intermediate care, staffed by emergency physicians, criticalists, and hospitalists. We foster interdisciplinary collaboration and support each other in practicing the highest quality veterinary medicine.
We offer education through a large intern, specialty intern, and residency program, along with opportunities for interaction with general practitioners via monthly rounds and an annual symposium.
The oncologists will have a dedicated support team including LVTs, technicians, and client service coordinators, as well as strong leadership support.
