Job description

A Little About Us and Our Privately Owned, Multi-Specialty Hospital

ACCESS (Advanced Critical Care, Emergency and Specialty Services) was founded in 2005 when Dr. Rich Mills, a board-certified criticalist, set out to bring specialty veterinary care to Los Angeles. As demand grew, so did ACCESS - expanding to the San Fernando Valley, South Bay, and eventually, Pasadena and Palm Beach County (FL) in 2021. While the first three hospitals are now part of Thrive Pet Healthcare, ACCESS - Pasadena and ACCESS - Palm Beach County remain proudly independent and privately owned by veterinarians. This means decisions are made in our hospitals, not in a boardroom, allowing us to stay flexible, focused, and deeply connected to the pets, pet owners, and primary care veterinarians we serve every day.

We'll Give You Independence, Trust, and Collaboration

We keep red tape to a minimum and avoid layers of bureaucracy. We trust our doctors to make swift decisions that matter to them, their patients, and pet owners.

Because we believe the best outcomes come from truly collaborative medicine, you would be working closely with other specialists in Surgery, Internal Medicine, Nephrology, Cardiology, Radiology and Neurology, in addition to our experienced team of ER Doctors, residents and interns. Our friendly, collaborative team prioritizes patient care above all else, and they are a genuinely friendly group that makes you feel right at home as you walk through the door.

We'll Give You the Tools and People to Get the Job Done

Our 21,000 sq. ft. hospital is equipped with advanced technology, including CT, MRI, fluoroscopy, endoscopy, a cloud-based EMR, cardiac and abdominal ultrasounds, and a comprehensive in-house lab. But it's our people who truly make the difference.

Our dedicated team of technicians, assistants, customer service representatives, and managers, share your commitment to exceptional patient and client care. We value every team member and support their growth, fostering a supportive environment where continuous learning thrives.

Who Are We Looking For?

We are looking for someone who will not only be part of the Medical Oncology department, but that will work with us to develop this new department and team. It's an exciting time to start up a new service, and you would be very well supported in everything you need from technician training, inventory and equipment set up. We have the caseload, a wonderful team and strong management support, so we just need the right person to head up the service and grow with us! Whether you are already boarded and looking for a new place to call home, or if you are a resident looking for your first steps out of residency, this is a great opportunity to join a well established, cutting edge privately owned hospital.

Great Medicine Starts with Great Benefits

We believe a strong compensation and benefits package is the foundation for great work and a balanced life. We offer a competitive base salary with additional production bonuses (with no negative accrual), and a robust benefits package including excellent health, vision and dental benefits, employee pet discounts and 401(k) to help you thrive both professionally and personally.

Our Neighborhood

Located in Palm Beach, Florida, our hospital offers a unique combination of professional opportunity and relaxed coastal living. With year-round sunshine, beautiful beaches, and a welcoming community, Palm Beach provides an exceptional quality of life. The area features excellent schools, outdoor recreation, and convenient access to nearby West Palm Beach and Miami. It's a great place to grow your career while enjoying a balanced, laid-back lifestyle.

Let's Talk – Confidentially, of Course

If this sounds like the kind of role and place where you’d flourish – where your voice matters, your expertise is respected, and your work truly makes a difference – I'd love to connect. No formalities, no pressure. Just a real conversation to explore whether this could be the right fit for you, both professionally and personally.

For more information feel free to reach out directly to our Chief Medical Officer, Dr Kathryn Gates, we are excited to get to know you!
