Qualifications

• DVM or VMD degree from AVMA-accredited college of veterinary medicine (or equivalent for international graduates).
• Active New Mexico veterinary license in good standing, or ability to obtain licensure prior to start date.
• Successful completion of NAVLE.
• Minimum 5+ years of clinical experience in small animal medicine, surgery, and preventive care.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to evidence-based veterinary medicine and mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead the hospital's medical vision and clinical standards.
• Maintain an active clinical caseload in small animal medicine and surgery.
• Mentor and support associate veterinarians.
