PetVet Care Centers is seeking a Medical Director for La Pine Animal Hospital in Oregon. You will lead medical standards, mentor veterinarians, and collaborate with the Hospital Manager and Regional Director to deliver outstanding care.

The role requires a DVM/VMD, state license, DEA registration, 3–5+ years in practice, and exceptional communication. You’ll oversee clinical practice, manage inventory, and drive high-quality patient care in a collaborative team.

Formación

• Veterinarian degree (DVM or VMD) from an accredited college or university.
• Current State Veterinary License.
• DEA registration must be obtained and maintained.
• 3-5+ years of experience in a veterinary practice.
• Strong diagnostic and clinical skills.
• Excellent surgical and dental skills.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Commitment to providing compassionate and high-quality veterinary care.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all members of the Medical and Hospital staff.
• Client communication skills, must be able to elicit information and establish rapport.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsabilidades

• Oversees medical standards and quality of care.
• Sets policies for the practice of medicine.
• Leads the clinical practice and patient care.
• Manages hospital inventory with leadership team.
• Budgets for equipment and ROI.
• Reviews patient records for completeness and accuracy.
• Manages controlled drugs and drug requests.
• Conducts regular doctor meetings.
• Mentors staff veterinarians and leads interviews.
• Identifies new service opportunities.
• Monitors KPIs with Hospital Manager to improve results.
• Plans for upcoming challenges and locum coverage.
