Qualifikationen

• DVM/VMD from an accredited institution.
• Active Oregon veterinary license (or eligibility to obtain before start).
• DEA registration (or eligibility to obtain).
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
• Proficiency in general practice medicine, routine surgery, and dentistry.
• Demonstrated leadership ability with strong communication and team-mentoring skills.

Aufgaben

• Lead, coach, and develop associate veterinarians; cultivate a supportive, inclusive culture
• Oversee onboarding and skills development in clinical, surgical, and dental domains
• Ensure consistent medical standards through medical record reviews, quality assessments, and patient safety evaluations
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including controlled substances stewardship and radiation safety
• Partner with practice leadership to achieve hospital goals and service-quality metrics
• Contribute to recruiting efforts and provide an excellent experience for externs and candidates
• Address escalated client concerns related to standards of care with professionalism and empathy
• Manage medical equipment needs and inventory planning
• Provide direct patient care; proportion of clinical time will vary based on hospital needs
