Job summary

Mission Pet Health is seeking a Medical Lead Veterinarian in Sacramento, CA. You will mentor associate veterinarians, partner with the Practice Manager, and drive continuous improvement in patient care and client service.

You will lead the DVM team, model clinical excellence, manage hospital performance with the leadership, and champion a culture of growth and recruitment across the network.

Qualifications

• DVM degree and valid state license in good standing.
• Strong leadership and mentoring ability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor your DVM team, conduct performance discussions and development plans.
• Model medical excellence and practice high-quality medicine while meeting production goals.
• Drive hospital performance with the Practice Manager to meet EBITDA goals and regulatory compliance.
• Foster growth through regular doctor meetings, externship supervision, and recruitment efforts.
• Represent the hospital in the community and Mission Pet Health network.
