Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Tukwila, WA is seeking an experienced Veterinary Lab Assistant to join our lab team. The role will perform laboratory duties, run quality control tests, and maintain equipment to ensure accurate diagnostic results for our patients.

You will document specimens, manage records, and support the lab workflow while following safety protocols. This on-site position offers competitive pay. Shift differential pay is available for eligible night and weekend hours.

Qualifications

• Maintain a clean and safe laboratory environment.
• Understand basic animal care and handling.
• Accurate recording of quality control and lab results.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and clean laboratory by following procedures and regulations.
• Run quality control samples to verify accurate results.
• Perform maintenance and upkeep of laboratory equipment.
• Prepare and document specimens for external laboratory.
• Provide high quality, accurate diagnostic laboratory results.
• Record results in patient files (paper and electronic).
• Maintain records on Quality Control, billing, and send-out samples.
