Responsibilities include daily care, feeding, monitoring, restraining animals as needed, cleaning kennels and equipment, and assisting with examinations and post-operative care. Weekend availability required; strong teamwork and compassion are essential.

Qualifications

• Weekend availability is required.
• Ability to safely handle and restrain dogs and cats.
• Ability to lift, stand, walk, and move heavy supplies.

Job Description

As a Kennel Technician, you'll play an important role in providing compassionate care for our hospitalized and boarding patients. You'll help ensure pets are safe, comfortable, and well cared for while supporting our veterinary team with daily hospital operations.

• Comfortable performing physical tasks, including lifting, standing, walking, and handling large dogs, pet food, and supplies.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning and disinfecting practices or willingness to learn.
• Compassionate, patient, and calm when caring for sick, injured, or anxious animals.
• Ability to learn how to administer medications and recognize changes in an animal's condition.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Reliable team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
