Cumberland Animal Clinic in Havana, Florida seeks a reliable kennel tech to support patient care and boarding operations. You will help with feeding, medicating, cleaning, and daily husbandry while ensuring compassionate handling of all animals.

Qualifications include basic infection control, safe animal restraint, and the ability to follow instructions. Training is provided for medication administration and instrument sterilization.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cleaning and disinfecting methods.
• Ability to use cleaning materials and equipment with skill and efficiency.
• Ability to attend to sick, frightened and injured animals sympathetically and patiently.
• Ability to learn to administer medications and recognize abnormal conditions.
• Understand and follow oral and written directions.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients in hospital including feeding, medicating and cleaning.
• Care for clients in boarding facility; cleaning, laundry, bathing, feeding, walking dogs.
• Restock hospital supplies and assist with post-operative patients.
• Recordkeeping of medications, special foods, appetite, behavior and status.
• Learn to clean and sterilize surgical instruments.
