Job summary

Frontier Veterinary Clinic is seeking a kennel technician to care for hospitalized and boarding animals, including feeding, medicating, cleaning, bathing and exercising dogs. The role involves assisting the veterinary team with restraint and exams and keeping accurate medication and feeding records.

This position also covers restocking supplies, cleaning and sterilizing instruments, and supporting staff with postoperative care. Training is provided, with opportunities for certification pursuit.

Qualifications

• Experience with cleaning and disinfecting methods.
• Ability to safely restrain animals.
• Ability to learn to administer medications and recognize abnormal conditions.
• Capable of performing moderately heavy physical labor.
• Maintain cooperative relationships with colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Care for hospitalized patients and boarding animals, including feeding and medicating.
• Assist with post-operative patients and examinations.
• Restock supplies and help with surgical instrument sterilization.
