Job summary

State Road Animal Hospital in North Carolina is seeking a friendly Kennel Assistant to support grooming and boarding duties. You will help admit patients, maintain clean kennels, monitor feeding and medication under supervision, and ensure a safe, caring environment for all pets.

Qualifications

• Previous veterinary experience preferred.
• Ability to lift patients up to 25 pounds; lift with assistance as needed.
• Adheres to OSHA PPE safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Provides care for patients visiting for grooming and boarding.
• Observes patient condition and records feeding, appearance, and behavior.
• Walks and exercises patients; ensures cleanliness of kennels and ward areas.
• Delivers medications under supervision and verifies instructions.
• Performs general cleaning and laundry to maintain a safe environment.
