North Hills Animal Hospital & Resort in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Veterinary Kennel Assistant / Animal Care Specialist to join our care-focused team. You will support the veterinary staff by caring for patients, boarding animals, and maintaining clean, safe kennels.

The role requires compassion for animals, the ability to safely handle dogs and cats, and attention to detail. Full-time schedule, with diverse shifts and benefits package including health, 401k, and PTO.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience as a veterinary kennel assistant / kennel technician preferred
• Genuine passion for animal care and patient wellbeing
• Confidence working with dogs and cats of varying sizes and temperaments
• Ability to safely handle, restrain, walk, and monitor animals under supervision
• Strong work ethic and willingness to take initiative
• Ability to stay organized and maintain a clean, safe environment
• Physical ability to meet the demands of a hands-on animal care role

Responsibilities

• Provide meals and walks to boarding patients
• Administer medication
• Monitor for medical or behavioral concerns and document observations
• Ensure kennels, common spaces and treatment areas are sanitized and stocked with supplies
