East & West Animal Hospital in San Marcos, CA is seeking a Veterinary Assistant who loves client education and delivering high‑quality, personalized care. You will assist clinicians, support hospitalized patients, and help with boarding clients in a fast‑paced, collaborative team.

Qualifications

Responsabilités

Job Description

Our hours of operation

• Monday - Friday: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM
• Saturday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
• Closed on Sundays

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

The kennel assistant is responsible for the care, feeding, medicating and cleaning of our patients in hospital, and our clients in the boarding facility. This job involves cleaning, laundry, bathing, feeding, walking dogs, and medicating. You are responsible for restocking hospital supplies, helping with post-operative patients, assisting doctors and assistants with animal restraint and exams. You will be responsible for proper recordkeeping of medications, special foods, appetite, behavior and any issue that may arise while the animal is in our care. You will be trained to clean and sterilize surgical instruments.

Additional Information

• Both full-time and part-time positions available**

Pay Range

$17 - $19/hr. depending on level of experience
