Job summary

Animal Medical Center of Seattle (AMCS), part of Ethos Veterinary Health, seeks a Veterinary Internal Medicine Assistant to support a specialty team in Shoreline, WA. You will assist the internal medicine veterinarian with examinations, animal restraint, medications, and post-operative care.

The role offers a full-time schedule with day shifts, collaborative environment, and opportunities to grow within a network of specialty and emergency hospitals.

Qualifications

• Experience in advanced diagnostic imaging (CT) is a plus but not required.
• Knowledge of basic computer functions and veterinary software.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, stressful work environment.
• Maintain professionalism and composure at all times.
• Able to communicate professionally with staff, clients and the public.
• Able to handle difficult clients.
• Must speak, read, and write English.

Responsibilities

• Assist in examinations and restrain animals during procedures.
• Administer medications and provide post-operative care.
• Take radiographs and record patient information accurately.
• Support client communication by phone, email, and in person.
• Maintain clean, organized exam rooms and hospital areas.
• Assist with admissions and facility maintenance.
• Restock supplies and manage deliveries.
