Job summary

Iowa State University seeks an Advanced Imaging Technologist for the Lloyd Veterinary Medical Center Radiology team. This role focuses on applying advanced imaging skills across species, including exotics, companion animals, and large animals, in a dynamic veterinary teaching hospital setting.

The position emphasizes independent operation of imaging modalities, collaboration with clinicians, and ongoing professional development within a 24-hour care environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent certification in a JRCERT-accredited program and one year of related experience.
• ARRT (R) certification in general radiologic technology.
• Current Iowa Permit to Practice.

Responsibilities

• Independently performs and supports a variety of advanced imaging procedures (Radiography, Fluoroscopy, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine).
• Collaborates with radiologists, clinicians, veterinary technicians, anesthesia personnel, students and hospital teams to produce high-quality diagnostic studies.
• Maintains quality-control standards and supports equipment troubleshooting and preventative maintenance.
