Job summary

Lakefield Veterinary Group currently seeks an experienced Hospital Administrator to lead PSVSE in Gig Harbor, WA. This role partners with the Medical Director to oversee daily operations, financial performance, and a high-quality client and team experience.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years previous leadership and management experience in veterinary medicine or healthcare required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in Management, Communication, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Experience managing DVMs, physicians, or other professional staff strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of hospital operations and financial performance.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and conflict‑resolution skills.
• A people‑focused leader who can balance compassion with accountability.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced specialty and emergency environment.
• A commitment to gold‑standard patient care, continuous learning, and supporting the people around you.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Medical Director and leadership team to oversee daily hospital operations and achieve hospital goals.
• Foster a culture built on compassion, inclusion, accountability, innovation, and collaboration.
• Recruit, onboard, coach, and develop hospital team members.
• Support DVMs with administrative, HR, performance, and operational needs.
• Monitor financial performance, labor costs, revenue, and other key hospital metrics.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows, efficiency, and the experience of our clients and team.
• Oversee scheduling, facilities, equipment, compliance, and other operational needs.
• Handle employee and client concerns with empathy, professionalism, and sound judgment.
• Build strong relationships with referring veterinarians and represent PSVSE within the local veterinary community.
• Partner with hospital leadership on strategic planning, business development, and continued growth.
