Job summary

Puget Sound Veterinary Specialty & Emergency in Gig Harbor, WA, seeks an experienced Hospital Administrator to lead daily operations and partner with the Medical Director on strategic growth. You will guide staff development, optimize finances, and ensure outstanding client and patient care in a fast-paced specialty/emergency setting.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years leadership/management experience in veterinary medicine or healthcare.
• Strong grasp of hospital operations and finances.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily hospital operations with Medical Director and leadership team.
• Develop people and build strong team relationships.
• Support DVMs with administrative, HR, and operational needs.
• Monitor labor costs, revenue, and key financial metrics.
• Improve workflows, client and team experiences, and efficiency.
• Manage scheduling, facilities, equipment, and compliance.
• Address employee and client concerns with empathy and professionalism.
• Collaborate on strategic planning, business development, and growth.
