VCA Milliken Animal Hospital is seeking a Hospital Manager to lead our client service and administrative teams, reporting to Regional Management and Medical Director. The role emphasizes HR, staffing, marketing, and business development to drive growth and profitability while delivering outstanding patient care.

Ideal candidates bring 2–3 years in customer service with budget oversight, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced animal-hospital environment.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of customer service and financial budget management experience.
• Knowledge of sales and marketing techniques.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills across diverse audiences.
• Ability to make decisions, delegate, and achieve results with hospital team.
• Professional comportment with excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly attitude.
• Respect for clients and their pets.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Direct and develop staff toward quality patient care and service; help formulate objectives and policies for efficient and profitable operations.
• Oversee hiring, reviews, and disciplinary actions with Regional Management approval.
• Review the P&L monthly; partner with Medical Director to increase revenue and control costs; coordinate budget planning.
• Model an owner mentality and dedicate time to ensure smooth hospital operation.
• Minimize patient stress and refer to specialists when prognosis improves.
• Maintain client/patient medical records and logs; assist in follow-up and future management.
• Supervise administration and case review of client medical complaints.
• Represent the hospital and VCA positively in the professional community and public.
