Tampa Bay Veterinary Specialists is seeking a Veterinary Hospital Administrator to join Thrive Pet Healthcare’s national network. The HA oversees staff, budgets, and operations to improve client service and employee engagement.

The role emphasizes creating a positive culture, data-driven decision making, and leadership across all levels while ensuring top-quality veterinary service and patient care.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hospital management or supervisory experience in veterinary medicine.
• Bachelor's degree in business and/or equivalent business experience.
• CVPM encouraged to apply.
• Experience managing an ER veterinary healthcare.
• Sound personal judgment in decision-making.
• Capable of leading, managing, and coaching staff at all levels.
• Demonstrated competence in staff management, including hiring, coaching and disciplinary action.
• Demonstrates empathy toward clients and care for animals.
• Budgeting and financial reporting, including reading and analyzing a P&L.

Responsibilities

• Oversee hospital staff hiring, training, and development.
• Work with leadership and finance to prepare and manage budgets.
• Monitor key performance indicators and set appropriate fees.
• Maintain inventory and an inventory control system.
• Manage hospital software and data reporting.
• Implement safety and security procedures.
