Job summary

The United States Army is seeking a Veterinary Food Specialist (68R) to oversee food safety, quality assurance, and protection from contamination. You’ll supervise food inspection and combined veterinary service activities and use statistical sampling to verify freshness, proper storage and packaging to DoD standards.

No experience is required for this entry-level position. Training includes 10 weeks of Basic Training, 8 weeks of Advanced Individual Training, and certification opportunities.

Enlist as a Soldier

Enlist as a Soldier into the United States Army and as a Veterinary Food Specialist (68R), you’ll oversee food safety, quality assurance, and protection from unintentional or intentional contamination of food, not that animals will consume, but the food that you and your fellow Soldiers will eat. You’ll also be responsible for supervising food inspection and combined veterinary service activities. You’ll be at the forefront of food safety and defense, using statistical sampling methods to make sure food is being inspected for freshness, proper storage and delivery, and ensure that all food items are packaged according to the Department of Defense standards. This is not a civilian contractor position. No experience necessary. Position is entry level.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 5 Nationally Recognized Certifications Available.
