Job summary

Huron Animal Hospital offers veterinary externships for third- and fourth-year students, providing hands-on clinical experiences under supervision. Students work on patient histories, exams, treatment plans, diagnostics, dentistry, and surgical observation or assistance.

A travel/living expense stipend of $1,000 is available. National Veterinary Associates supports its hospitals with a broad network of resources while maintaining a dedication to compassionate patient care and client service

Qualifications

• Externship experience with supervising veterinarians for hands-on clinical learning.
• Exposure to histories, exams, and treatment planning in a team setting.
• Opportunities to observe and assist surgeries and dentistry procedures.

Responsibilities

• Gather patient histories and perform physical examinations.
• Assist in or observe surgical procedures and dentistry services.
• Develop treatment plans and manage medical care for patients.
