Job summary

National Veterinary Associates (NVA) offers an externship at a hospital to expose veterinary students to day-to-day practice operations. You will work closely with supervising veterinarians to gain hands-on clinical experience, including histories, exams, treatment plans, diagnostics, dentistry, and procedures.

Externships are typically 2–8 weeks, designed for 3rd and 4th year students, with a travel/living stipend available.

Qualifications

• Gathers patient histories and performs physical exams.
• Creates treatment plans and orders diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Gather patient histories and perform physical exams.

• Assist with or observe surgical procedures.
