Job summary

Loveland Veterinary Clinic offers an externship experience at an NVA hospital, giving students hands-on exposure to the day-to-day operations of the practice and valuable clinical skills under supervision.

Externships range from two to eight weeks, with veterinary students in the clinical portion eligible for a travel/living expense stipend. National Veterinary Associates provides network-wide resources and opportunities for growth in veterinary care.

Qualifications

• Gather patient histories and perform physical exams under supervision
• Create treatment plans and participate in diagnostics and dentistry services
• Observe, assist or perform surgical procedures and manage medical cases

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on clinical experience under a supervising veterinarian
• Develop communication skills with medical team, staff, and clients
• Participate in day-to-day operations and patient care at the clinic
