Job summary

Table Mountain Veterinary Clinic in Golden, CO offers a Veterinary Externship providing students with hands-on clinical experience under supervision. externs will work closely with associates to gather histories, examine patients, plan treatments, and observe or participate in surgeries, while honing communication with staff and clients.

Externs range two to eight weeks and all veterinary students are encouraged to participate; a travel/living stipend of $1,000 is available to eligible students.

Qualifications

• Externship for veterinary students to gain hands-on clinical experience.
• Shadow supervising veterinarians and participate in patient care.
• Open to all veterinary students regardless of class year.

Responsibilities

• Gather patient histories and perform physical exams.
• Create treatment plans and assist or perform surgeries.
• Perform diagnostics and dentistry services.
• Communicate with medical team and clients.
• Manage medical care of patients.
