Abqpetcarehospital is offering an externship for veterinary students in Washington. Students will gain hands-on experience by working closely with a supervising veterinarian and performing tasks such as patient history gathering, physical exams, and assisting in surgical procedures.

Most externship experiences range from two to eight weeks depending on student and hospital schedules. All veterinary students, regardless of class year, are encouraged to participate in NVA externships.
Veterinary students in the clinical portion of their education are eligible for a travel/living expense stipend. The stipend amount for SouthCare Animal Medical Center is $1,000.
