National Veterinary Associates is offering an externship designed for veterinary students to gain hands-on clinical experience at their hospitals. The externship will span from two to eight weeks, where students will perform duties such as gathering patient histories, conducting physical examinations, creating treatment plans, and more. This program provides a stipend for travel and living expenses, along with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and paid time off.

Job description

Overview

An externship experience at an NVA hospital will give students the unique opportunity to understand the day-to-day operations of the practice and to gain valuable hands‑on clinical experience. Each NVA hospital is supportive and committed to excellent medicine, providing exceptional service to animals and their owners.

Scope and Duration

Most externship experiences at Animal Medical Center of Mt. Pleasant range from two to eight weeks, depending on student and hospital schedules.
