Abqpetcarehospital in Bend, Oregon offers a unique externship experience for veterinary students to understand the day-to-day operations and gain hands-on clinical skills. Under the supervision of a veterinarian, students will engage in gathering patient histories, performing physical exams, and assisting in surgical procedures, among other responsibilities.
The externship also includes a travel/living expense stipend and various benefits such as medical, dental, and vision coverage. NVA is committed to providing an excellent learning environment for aspiring veterinary professionals.
An externship experience at an NVA hospital will give students the unique opportunity to understand the day-to-day operations of the practice, and to gain valuable hands‑on clinical experience. Veterinary students who are in the clinical portion of their education are eligible for a travel/living expense stipend.
