You will perform restraint, assist with examinations, vaccines, in-hospital admissions, lab work, and client communication, maintaining medical records and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Education equivalent to a high school diploma or GED.
• Willingness to pursue further education in the veterinary field is needed.
• 1–3 years of experience in lieu of degree may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam room with cleaning, stocking and disinfection protocols.
• Interact with clients in a polite and professional manner.
• Participate in accurate medical records by assisting doctors or maintaining a technician SOAP.
• Proper triage and weight on pet.
• Assist doctor during examinations using restraint techniques.
• Perform treatments per BVH protocols including blood draws, vaccines or medications, radiographs.
• Order labs and fecal testing.
• Under doctor supervision, input medications in Infinity and fill prescriptions.
• Admit patients to hospital with proper identification and paperwork.
• Input invoices and manage checkout per BVH process.
• Answer phones and scheduling when CSR team is unavailable.
