Sugar Land Veterinary Specialty and Emergency (SLVS) is seeking an experienced Emergency Doctor to join our premier multi-disciplinary hospital. This role also serves as the Emergency Department Head, combining clinical excellence with leadership duties in a 19,000-square-foot facility.

Qualifications

• DVM degree required.
• Minimum of 3 years emergency medicine experience.
• Leadership ability or interest in leadership development.
• Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients during scheduled shifts.
• Responsible for the Emergency doctor team schedule.
• Oversee daily ER operations in collaboration with hospital leadership.
• Support, mentor and guide emergency clinicians and support staff.
• Participate in monthly Department Head meetings and hospital initiatives.
• Help develop and implement department protocols and quality-of-care standards.
• Foster a positive, collaborative, and professional work environment.
