Job summary

Iowa State University - College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician to support diagnostic testing in a veterinary lab. The role emphasizes hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, and cytology across animal species, with training provided for veterinary-specific procedures.

Qualifications

• MLT certification required.
• Experience in clinical diagnostic testing preferred.
• Willing to train in veterinary-specific procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic testing including hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, serology, coagulation, and cytology.
• Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory analyzers and instrumentation.
• Perform quality control procedures and routine maintenance to ensure accurate results.
• Support blood banking and coagulation testing procedures.
• Enter, review, and maintain patient and specimen information in LIS.
