Job summary

Burlington Emergency & Veterinary Specialists in Williston, VT is seeking a Veterinary Technician to support our dentistry team with anesthetic and surgical care. The role supports boarded dentists and collaborates with the broader team across pre-, peri-, and post-operative care.

Compensation ranges from $23.00 - $30.00 per hour based on experience and licensure, with potential to reach $35-38/hour for licensed VTS technicians.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• This role will primarily provide anesthesia for the dental team; strong anesthesia monitoring experience is required.
• CVT or LVT certification/license is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Communicating and working closely with all staff members and clients.
• Being able to work independently and within a group depending on the needs of the situation.
• Providing and ensuring quality patient care pre-, peri- and post-operatively.
• Utilize technical and clinical knowledge learned in order to effectively assess, monitor and stabilize all cases.
• Demonstrate and model advanced anesthesia skills.
• Assist in the training process for new and current employees.
• Prepare and maintain the exam rooms and treatment areas
• Prepare estimates for procedures and discuss financial commitments with clients
• Perform discharges for surgical patients
• Maintaining cleanliness, stock levels and functionality of dental areas and equipment.
