Job summary

East & West Animal Hospital is seeking a friendly Veterinary Customer Service Representative to greet clients, schedule appointments, and manage payments in a fast-paced, supportive environment.

You will help educate clients, provide compassionate service, and collaborate with a team that values empathy and innovative medicine. This role offers opportunities for growth through training and development within a busy veterinary practice.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ years of veterinary receptionist experience.
• Coverage of some Monday and Saturday shifts are required for this position.
• Some previous veterinary assistant experience is preferred, but not required.
• Previous experience utilizing Avimark is a plus, but not required.
• Compassionate, calm team player with a positive attitude.
• Exceptional multitasking abilities and strong communication skills.
• Highly organized with excellent computer proficiency.
• Self-motivated, with a desire to continuously learn and grow in your role.
• Ability to handle emotionally charged situations with professionalism and resilience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially in difficult or emotional circumstances.
• Comfortable working in a veterinary environment—must not be squeamish.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations and manage multiple priorities effectively.

• Monday - Friday: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Job Description

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

Maintain the visual appeal of the hospital reception area, greet and welcome clients and patients, answer questions and triage client concerns, answer calls or emails and direct to the appropriate party for resolution, schedule appointments to maximize efficiency and daily flow, check in and check out clients and process payments. Our receptionists offer friendly emotional support in a compassionate and discreet manner during times of need to our clients and must be comfortable with various medical outcomes.

Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises.

May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases.

Pay Range:

$19 - $22/hr, depending on experience level
