Job summary

Southern Oregon Veterinary Specialty Center is seeking a Veterinary Criticalist to join our 24/7 emergency and critical care team in Central Point, Oregon. This Full-Time role offers a collaborative environment with ICU specialists, advanced imaging, and dedicated nursing support.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for Oregon veterinary licensure.

Responsibilities

• Manage high-acuity emergency and ICU patients with stabilization and ongoing critical care.
• Lead or participate in interdisciplinary rounds with Emergency, Internal Medicine, Surgery, and Urgent Care teams.
• Utilize advanced critical care therapies and monitoring, including ventilation and imaging as clinically indicated.
• Collaborate with ICU nurses to develop individualized treatment plans based on real-time data.
• Communicate clearly with clients and referring veterinarians about diagnoses, prognosis, and care.
