Desort’s state-of-the-art emergency and specialty veterinary hospital in Gig Harbor, WA seeks a board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Criticalist to join a highly experienced team. You will lead advanced critical care, supervise ICU cases, and collaborate with clinicians in a supportive, growth‑minded environment.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree.
• Board-certified (DACVECC) or residency-trained in emergency and critical care.
• Strong clinical and decision-making skills in a fast-paced setting.
• Team-oriented with a collaborative approach.
• Excellent communication and client care abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced critical care and emergency treatment for small animals.
• Manage complex ICU cases and oversee patient stabilization and monitoring.
• Collaborate with emergency clinicians and support staff.
• Utilize CT imaging and in-house lab for diagnostics.
• Communicate care plans and outcomes to clients.
• Participate in case discussions and teaching within the team.
