Ethos Veterinary Health Roseville is seeking a Clinical Supervisor to lead a busy veterinary team in an advanced emergency and specialty hospital.

This role is 75% clinical and 25% administrative, offering opportunities to mentor staff, optimize patient care, and coordinate scheduling and operations across HD, MD, and HSM.

Qualified candidates will have at least 3 years as a veterinary technician, CA licensure eligibility (CVT/RVT/LVT), and leadership experience.

Clinical Supervisor

Schedule: Full-Time, 4-days per week The compensation range for this role is $73,000-$78,000, commensurate with experience.

Our Clinical Supervisor will have the opportunity to put her/his outstanding leadership skills to great use with a growing Emergency and Specialty hospital in Northern California. This position offers the chance to make an immediate and lasting impact on patient care, the support team, and our clients and patients while at the same time being part of our national network of veterinary hospitals across the country. In your day-to-day, you will:

• Consistently perform credentialed veterinary nursing practical skills as required.


• Mentoring and developing shift leads, guiding their department growth, encouraging advancement of skills, knowledge and abilities


• Conduct routine meetings with shift leaders to discuss staffing, workflow or other issues


• Problem solve, ensuring resolutions are enacted and communicated effectively to the team


• Provide multi-directional communication between HD, MD, HSM, and shift leads


• Oversee clinical operations to include scheduling staff shifts, ensuring efficient patient care, and maintaining an efficient workflow and exceptional patient care.


• Actively participate in recruiting, hiring, onboarding and training of all new veterinary nurses and assistants in collaboration with the HD, MD, and HSM.


• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning


• Ensure employees follow policies, procedures, SOP’s, OSHA and safety protocols.


• Conduct regular check-ins with clinical team members and facilitate performance reviews in accordance with hospital policy.


• Lead by example, mitigating issues and negativity and helping to create a positive and professional work environment.


• Provide recommendations regarding hiring, promotion, disciplinary action, and termination that are given particular weight by Hospital Leadership.


• Directly supervise four or more employees and is responsible for directing and coordinating their work.


• Lead coaching, performance management, corrective action, and performance evaluations of assigned employees.


• Exercise independent judgment and discretion in matters involving staffing, workflow, employee performance, scheduling, operational priorities, and resolution of clinical support team issues.


• All other job duties as assigned.

What You Bring

Required:

• 3 or more years of experience as a Veterinary Technician


• CVT, RVT, or LVT and eligible for licensure in California


• Degree in veterinary technology


• Passing score on the Veterinary Technician National Examination


• Must possess and demonstrate effective leadership qualities


• Ability to promote effective communication amongst team members


• Demonstrate professionalism in all interactions


• Proven ability to lead by example

Preferred

• VTS Certification in ECC


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, scheduling software, and veterinary management platforms preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis


• Ability to stand up to 12 hours per day


• Ability to sit, kneel, bend, or crouch for extended periods of time.
