Job summary

NC State University in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Clinical Research Technician – Small Animal Surgery to provide essential technical, administrative, and operational support across multiple active studies in the Small Animal Surgery Service.

You will coordinate prospective and retrospective clinical research, assist with regulatory documentation, manage research purchasing and inventory, and collaborate with clinicians, residents, students, staff, and pet owners to advance veterinary medicine.

Qualifications

• RVT certification is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects.
• Experience using Microsoft Excel, REDCap, or similar database management tools to maintain accurate and confidential records.
• Experience in veterinary clinical research, hospital operations, and coordination of cadaveric or laboratory studies.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate prospective and retrospective clinical research studies, ensuring activities are organized and conducted per study protocols.
• Coordinate cadaveric research activities while assisting with regulatory documentation and study compliance.
• Manage research purchasing, inventory, and supply coordination for multiple active projects.
• Partner with clinicians, residents, students, staff, and pet owners to facilitate research and ensure effective communication.
• Maintain organized research records and support confidential data management and administrative tasks.
