Job summary

Lawrenceburg Veterinary Clinic is seeking an experienced Practice Manager to oversee daily operations and business performance. You will lead the hospital team, manage client relations, and coordinate financial and regulatory responsibilities to support veterinary care.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, organizational skills, budgeting, and partnership with CVP leadership to drive exceptional service and outcomes for pets and their families.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of veterinary hospital or practice management experience.
• Experience in Emergency or Specialty veterinary medicine is strongly preferred.
• Strong leadership and employee-management skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy hospital environment.
• Comfort working with budgets, financial reports, and operational metrics.
• College degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Veterinary Practice Management certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the hospital team with day-to-day guidance, direction, and support.
• Assist with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, and employee development.
• Conduct and coordinate performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
• Address employee concerns in a professional and timely manner.
• Communicate important updates, policies, procedures, and hospital information to the team.
• Maintain safety compliance with OSHA standards and workers' compensation procedures.
• Support the hospital's emergency and disaster preparedness processes.
• Manage the daily administrative and operational functions of the hospital.
• Partner with the Lead Veterinarian and CVP leadership to address hospital needs and opportunities.
• Help create an efficient, positive environment for patients, clients, and employees.
• Respond to client questions and concerns and work with medical leadership on patient care.
• Coordinate facility maintenance and ensure equipment and environment are safe, clean, and well maintained.
• Maintain permits, licenses, regulatory documentation, and compliance programs.
• Oversee purchasing and inventory with budget controls.
• Manage the hospital's practice management software and email communications.
• Ensure patient reminder and wellness initiatives are implemented and maintained.
• Organize staff meetings and hospital leadership meetings.
• Keep leadership informed of staffing, facility, client, equipment, or operational concerns.
