Job summary

Hillside Veterinary Clinic in Dallas, TX is seeking an experienced Veterinary Client Service Representative (CSR) to join our INCREDIBLE team. You’ll support patients and clients, manage registrations, scheduling, and communications with a compassionate, efficient approach.

As a CSR, you’ll handle front desk duties, cash handling, and care for our patients while upholding service standards. Thrive Pet Healthcare resources back our locally rooted practice.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience and 2-3 years’ experience in veterinary medicine are required.
• Experience in Conflict management.
• High attention to detail.
• Great communication skills - Team oriented with an ability to collaborate and support each other.
• Outstanding multi-tasker.
• Desire to practice empathetic, gold standard medicine benefiting our patients.
• Are paw-sitive, kind and provide trustworthy communication to the patients, team members and clients.
• Have the desire to constantly grow and advance as a valued member!

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and their pets, assist with enrollment and inform about wait times.
• Educate clients and answer non-medical inquiries.
• Maintain client relationships and service standards via phone, email, and faxes.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate with referring hospital staff.
• Maintain accurate computer records and verify patient information.
• Keep front desk and waiting areas neat and organized.
• Ensure accurate cash handling and reconciliation.
• Mentor and support fellow team members.

As aClientService Representative (CSR), you’ll play an important role in pets’ lives by providing care for our precious patients,while coordinating and representing all facets of client services. Our CSR’s are friendly, professional, courteous and show urgency and appropriate concern at all times. They must be efficient in handling difficult situations and skills at basic accounting and cash handling.

Role Responsibilities

• Help strengthen relationships with our clients by greeting them and their pet! Help new client’s complete registration and notify them of expected wait times.
• Educate clients and answer non-medical inquiries
• Maintain client relationships and service standards by responding to phone calls, taking messages, and transferring calls as needed. Regular monitoring of email and faxes.
• Schedule appointments, including in-office diagnostics and communicate with referring hospital staff to access patient records. Create appointment reminders, reschedule missed appointments.
• Maintains computer records with up-to-date client and patient data, verifies each patient entering the hospital.
• Maintains front desk, reception area, waiting areas and exam rooms in a neat and clean manner.
• Ensures financial responsibilities are met. Reviewing charges for services upon completion or discharge, ensuring accurate reconciliation of cash drawer with computer-generated reporting.
• Be willing to guide, mentor, and support fellow team members.
