Job summary

Thrive Pet Healthcare is seeking a Veterinary Client Service Representative for Greece Animal Hospital in Rochester, NY. This full-time role offers 30–40 hours per week with some weekends and holidays.

You will greet clients, gather information, enter records, process payments, schedule visits, and discreetly dispense medications as needed. No prior veterinary experience required, but strong customer service and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, AAS or higher preferred.
• At least 6 months of customer service experience.
• Veterinary hospital experience is preferred, however not required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform varied physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Communicate via phone, email, and in person and listen to client concerns.
• Enter client/patient data accurately in information systems.
• Process client payments and invoices.
• Schedule and confirm appointments for patients.
• Dispense pharmaceuticals and call in prescriptions to pharmacies.
• Handle other administrative duties as needed.

Our Ideal Candidate

An upbeat, self-starter with a passion for providing excellent customer service. Our team is focused on providing a welcoming and educational environment for clients and pets. This experience starts when the client walks through our door and speaks with our Client Service Representatives. This full-time position would require 30-40 hours per week, including some weekends and Holidays.

Job Duties

• Communicating via phone, email, and in person with clients and actively listening to their concerns.
• Utilizing computer information systems to accurately enter client/patient information, update and maintain medical records.
• Processing client payments and invoices.
• Scheduling and confirming appointments with patients.
• Precisely dispensing pharmaceuticals as needed and calling in prescriptions to pharmacies.
• Other administrative duties as needed.

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent, AAS or higher preferred.
• At least 6 months of customer service experience.
• Veterinary hospital experience is preferred, however not required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, squatting, reach, standing, and walking throughout the day.

Compensation negotiable based on credentials and experience with a starting rate ranging from $16-$17.50/hr. The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
