ACCESS Specialty Animal Hospital Los Angeles is seeking a Charge Capture Technician to join our growing team. The role focuses on bridging clinical care and financial accuracy, ensuring services are documented and billed correctly while supporting a smooth client experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of customer service experience in veterinary medicine.
• 3+ years of veterinary technician experience, emergency/critical care preferred.
• Clinical veterinary experience with diagnostics, labs, pharmacology, and monitoring is highly desirable.
• Prior experience with EMR systems; EzyVet experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review patient records, treatment sheets, and documentation to ensure accurate charge capture.
• Enter and audit charges for hospitalized and outpatient cases in EzyVet.
• Identify, correct, and resolve missed, duplicate, or inaccurate charges.
• Perform daily reconciliation of charges, deposits, payments, and discharged accounts.
• Apply charge capture policies and billing guidelines to assign codes.
• Conduct audits and analyze charge trends to identify improvements.
• Develop and maintain reporting to identify recurring errors and support pricing optimization.
• Assist with accounts receivable tasks and financial reporting.
