Job summary

CSUVetCE within Colorado State University’s Translational Medicine Institute is seeking a motivated CE Lab Assistant to support veterinary continuing education courses. You will help with CE lab setup, live animal care, cadaver preparation, inventory, scheduling, cleaning, and general course support.

Ideal candidates have strong communication, organizational skills, and experience in veterinary settings, including anesthesia and working with small to large animals.

Qualifications

• B.A./B.S. in a related field or equivalent
• Experience in veterinary medical field performing essential duties
• Experience in veterinary anesthesia and handling animals

Responsibilities

• Assist CE Lab Coordinator to ensure courses run smoothly
• Fulfilling IACUC protocols and course needs
• Assist in budget development for teaching laboratory
• Coordinate laboratory schedules with related labs and anesthesia/imaging groups
• Coordinate anesthesia as needed for courses
• Lead partner training events (e.g., Arthrex, Storz)
• Maintain equipment understanding and troubleshooting
• Procure animals and cadavers, manage cooler/freezer areas
• Manage laboratory equipment and supplies, procure and coordinate with reps
