Job summary

Banfield Pet Hospital is searching for a Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and veterinary technicians, ensuring patient safety and the continuity of quality care across the hospital team.

You will help educate clients on preventive care and wellness plans, assist with procedures, and contribute to a positive, learning-focused environment. We offer opportunities for growth and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program certification or equivalent experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the flow of patients and assist veterinarians and vet techs.
• Communicate with the veterinarian and vet techs.
• Carry out procedures that do not require veterinary or vet tech assistance.
• Adhere to hospital standards that keep pets safe and the treatment areas clean and organized.
• Educate clients about Optimum Wellness Plans and preventive care.
• Mentor other hospital team members.
