Job summary

Thrive Pet Healthcare is seeking a Veterinary Cardiologist to join the Heart of Texas Veterinary Specialty Center team inRound Rock, Texas. The role focuses on providing high-level cardiology care within a multidisciplinary hospital and supporting compassionate patient outcomes.

The successful candidate will have a DVM/VMD, active Texas license, DEA eligibility, and board certification or residency in cardiology.

Qualifications

  • DVM/VMD or equivalent degree required.
  • Active State Veterinary License in good standing for the hiring state.
  • DEA license or eligibility required.
  • Board Certification or Residency Training in veterinary cardiology.

Responsibilities

  • Provide veterinary cardiology services within the Heart of Texas Veterinary Specialty Center.
  • Collaborate with imaging, surgery and critical care teams to deliver comprehensive care.
  • Support and participate in the clinic's educational and mentorship programs as needed.

  • HOT has relocated to a beautiful new 15,000 square foot facility!
  • AAHA-accredited, Fear Free certified, full-service hospital.
  • Our services are available 24/7 to companion animals in Austin and nearby areas.
  • Our dedicated doctors offer high-quality medical care; specialized care is provided in Critical Care/Emergency, Surgery, Internal Medicine, Oncology (Medical) and Dentistry.
  • We have an outside contractor for cardiology and a sonographer available for imaging Monday - Sunday.

Experience & Skills Requirements
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree required
  • State Veterinary Board License and must be in good standing for the state in which they intend to be hired, before their start date.
  • Active DEA license or DEA licensure eligible.
  • Board Certified or Residency Trained Veterinarian.
