Job summary

Veterinary Emergency and Referral Center of Hawaii in Honolulu is seeking a Veterinary Cardiologist to join our 24-hour emergency and specialty hospital. The role offers a competitive salary of $200,000–$240,000 annually, commensurate with experience and board certification, and a full-time commitment in a collaborative Ethos network environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide medical and interventional cardiology care, including diagnosis and management of complex cardiac cases.
  • Perform and interpret echocardiograms, thoracic radiographs, ECGs, and Holter monitoring.
  • Participate in on-call coverage for ER echocardiograms and catheterization procedures as needed.
  • Collaborate with overnight ER and ICU teams to support inpatient cardiac care.
  • Access ongoing mentorship and training opportunities across the Ethos network.

In Your Day to Day, You Will

  • Provide medical and interventional cardiology care, including diagnosis and management of complex cardiac cases
  • Perform and interpret echocardiograms, thoracic radiographs, ECGs, and Holter and telemetry monitoring
  • Participate in on call coverage for ER echocardiograms and catheterization procedures as needed
  • Collaborate with overnight ER and ICU teams to support inpatient cardiac care
  • Access ongoing mentorship and training opportunities, including cath lab experience across the Ethos network
  • Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams to provide seamless, compassionate patient care
  • Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners during stressful and emotional situations
  • Contribute to a positive, team focused hospital culture built on collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning

What You Bring

  • DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state veterinary licensure
