Job summary

Florida Veterinary Referral Center in Estero, FL seeks a Cardiologist to join a 24/7 specialty and emergency team. You will lead interventional cardiology cases and collaborate across ICU and ER services.

The position offers advanced diagnostics, mentorship, and access to a network of specialists within Ethos. DVM with DACVIM Cardiology is required, and a passion for compassionate, client-centric care is essential.

Qualifications

  • DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state veterinary licensure.
  • Board Certification in Cardiology (DACVIM Cardiology).
  • Strong communication skills with a compassionate, client-centered approach.

Responsibilities

  • Provide medical and interventional cardiology care, including diagnosis and management of complex cardiac cases.
  • Perform and interpret echocardiograms, thoracic radiographs, ECGs, and Holter monitoring.
  • Participate in on-call coverage for ER echocardiograms and cath procedures as needed.
  • Collaborate with overnight ER and ICU teams to support inpatient cardiac care.
  • Access mentorship and training opportunities, including cath lab experience across the network.
  • Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams to provide seamless, compassionate patient care.
  • Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners during stressful and emotional situations.
  • Contribute to a positive, team focused hospital culture built on collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning

In your day to day, you will:
  • Provide medical and interventional cardiology care, including diagnosis and management of complex cardiac cases
